Abandonment (I bring)

As the grand sun waxes, the shadow wanes,

Subtending his arc, indifferent,

to the fading properties of shadow.

Selfish sun,

Concerned more with his geometry

Than you shadow.

Shadow say,

how you misplaced your humanity.

Lonely shadow.

What majestic phenomenon, obsessed over by the greatest men of man, documented by the finest of scribes, feared by the commonest of common man, caused this curious discontinuity?

What ancient magic, administered by the mightiest gods of God, conjured by the holiest of priests, feared by the commonest of common man, fractured shadow’s being for eternity?

How did I not hear the Earth’s shattering shriek when such injustice came to be.

How did I not feel the Earth’s crushing quake when such evil did this deed?

Why only silence?

Why only nothing?

Interference patterns decay you like disease.

Existence ebbs and flows like dream.

Now noon comes,

Now nothing comes

Now is noon

And

You is nothing.

After the noon less dark, than the before,

In light of this bro-ken symmetry,

Did grand sun blink? Did grand sun think?

!Maybe more of a draft than a finished product, maybe!
